Cookin'
The pickles aare a hit! Pixie Girl gives them a thumbs up, hubby, the non pickle eating man even likes them! They are sooooo easy. Recipe:
Refrigerator Pickles
6 Cucumbers
2 cups cold water
1/3 cup vinegar(I used white)
1 TBSP sea salt
2 tsp sugar
5 whole peppercorns
Fresh ground pepper(I used 20 grinds)
1-2 cloves garlic-chopped finely
OPTIONAL: Sprig of dill, sliced onions, sliced bell pepper, 1-2 jalapenos, etc.
Step 1
Prepare cucumbers: wash and spear or slice
Step 2 "Brine"
Mix other ingredients together in a bowl...stir to dissolve salt and sugar. the water is cold, but mine dissolved completely.
Step 3 Jars
Pack cucumbers in jars previously washed
Divide brine evenly between jars. You can also use a zipper plastic bag.
Step 4 Fridge
Allow pickles to rest in fridge for 24 hours.

Easy Peasy Mac n Cheesy
1-8oz box elbow macaroni
1 8 oz block medium cheddar cheese, grated
Slosh of milk
2-3 TBSP butter
Salt
Pepper
Cook macaroin, drain. Add Slosh of milk(more than a splash!), salt, pepper and butter. Stir.
Add 2/3 of cheese, stir, top with remaining cheese(this keeps the macaroni from getting dry. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese is melted and bubbly.
YUMMMMMMMMMMM....almost as good as granny's....ALMOST.
